22 weeks

Well, I'm 1/2 way through my 22nd week.  The best part about this week is that Carl comes home!  I had my Dr. appt today and the little boy is doing well.  Good heartbeat and they didn't seem to concerned that I'm not feeling him very much.  Hopefully soon, cause it would make me feel better :)  I'm feeling well . . . was able to mow the lawns this week, so that was good.  Ready for Friday to be here!!!

Nursery

I've been slowly getting the nursery ready for this little one.  The painting is done, except for the baseboards and Carl & I bought the crib.  I'm still not 100% on what decor we will use, but i am leaning toward sailboats . . . we'll see.  Here are some picts of what we've done so far.

20 weeks

1/2 way there!  Only another 20ish to go until we meet our little man.  Carl is away for a little while on a work-up, and so i'm hoping that i can get some more things accomplished while he's away.  I'm looking forward to the warmer weather this week so i can open up the house again and maybe work in the yards a little bit.  I'm feeling good, although a little hormonal.  Don't know if that's partially because Carl isn't here, or what. 

It's A . . .

BOY!!! We are so thrilled that he is a healthy and very active little boy! We had our 2nd ultrasound in Fresno on Tuesday, the 26th. The tech, Katrina, asked us before we saw him if we wanted to know the sex, and of course being the planner that I am, I said YES! So, first picture we see, is his "stuff" with his hand getting ready to grab. Apparently that happens a lot with boys, at least that is what our tech said :). anyways, the appointment lasted a good 40 minutes and Katrina checked him out all over. His brain is perfect, his heart is perfect, his bladder is working, as well as his kidneys. He has no cleft pallet, and all looked amazing. He weighed in at 9 oz. And I am beyond thrilled that he is healthy!! Here are some pictures of our beautiful SON.

So, I went bought the paint for the nursery yesterday and will start painting hopefully tomorrow.  The weather is perfect for me to paint since i can have all the windows open :) . . . I'm so excited to get everything ready for this little boy. 

17 weeks

Well, this week is one that I will be thankful is over . . . only because I have this nasty cold and am just wanting to feel better.  I have learned that being pregnant and sick is not a fun thing and seems to be intensified  without the ability to take the drugs I would normally take - DayQuil, NyQuil, etc. 

In other news, next Tuesday is our ultra sound, and I am so excited to see the little one again  .. . and hopefully be able to start calling it "he or she".  Most of the time we call it him, but until I get a more definate answer it's hard to just call it him :)

Our first ultra sound was December 18th, 2012 at LNAS obgyn. the best sound in the world was hearing the baby's heartbeat! Here are 2 picts of our little one at 8 weeks . . .
