29 weeks

It has been an amazing week so far . . .
Last Saturday, we had my family baby shower in Roseville!  It was such a wonderful day!  We are blessed beyond words with the generous and loving families we have!  This little boy is very lucky (as are we) :) !!  Sunday (my first day in week 29)  was Mother's Day, and it was so fun!  My Aunt Barbi surprised us by being at church, so we were able to spend the afternoon with her & Eileen! I missed having Carl there though!
BUT on Tuesday, he came home.  It was the longest 2 weeks I've had in quite a while.  But it is over (for now) and I'm so happy he's home!  (now i just need to get rid of this summer cold, and we'll be perfect :) ).

Third Trimester

I am officially in my third trimester @ 28 weeks!  I never thought we'd get here, but alas we are and i just can't believe this little boy is going to be here in 3 months!  I'm feeling very unprepared, but know that I still have time, so am trying to not be anxious about it!  I am looking forward to spending time with my family for several days, and one of those days is my family baby shower!  I'm excited to see everyone!!  That's about all for now.

This picture is of the last day in my 2nd trimester :)

Week 27

It has been an eventful week, most of which I wish never happened.  Carl left for a short boat det, which left me more emotional than expected ~ I am chalking it up to hormones :).  I went in yesterday for the Glucose Test, which wasn't as horrible as I was expecting.  The flavor was similar to Hawaiian Punch, but the sweetness was overpowering.
Then, today I ended up making an "emergency" appointment mostly to be safe rather than sorry.  Turns out all is well, this little boy is good (and is kicking up a storm).  I also found out my results from yesterday - which my Glucose was "perfect", but I am lacking iron.  So now I get to take iron supplements with vitamin C on top of the prenatals and folic acid.  Thankful that all is well and what isn't can be fixed with pills :).  I am hoping that I will get a little more energy back after taking the iron . . . and am looking forward to an uneventful day tomorrow.

26 weeks

Today I had another Dr. appointment and all is going well.  She was pleased that my blood pressure continues to be good, and I am measuring right at 26 weeks.  Sometime within the next week I have to go back and do the gluclose screening, so that will be interesting :).  The little boy was very active during my appointment and even to the point where his heartrate went up, so she continued checking and it went back down shortly after, which she said all that was normal.  So, I am a happy girl.

Here are some pictures just for fun :).

Weeks 23 & 24

have been pretty uneventful except the little boy is in full movement now . . . including EARLY morning . . . I'm not complaining though - I love to feel him move.

6th Month

According to What to Expect When You're Expecting - I'm officially in my 6th month!  (very early in it, but still in it) :).  Time is flying by.  I'm feeling this little guy move a little more every week, so maybe by the end of this week Carl will be able to feel him too!  Speaking of Carl, he got home on Friday and we had a very busy weekend because we thought he was going to have to go back out on det soon, but learned today that as of right now (things can change in a
moments notice) that has been cancelled :)!!  So, because we thought he was leaving again, we went and registered at Buy Buy Baby.  Holy Smokes - there was so much to see, and after 2 hours in the store contemplating different items, we got most of it done!  And then because i've been told that not many places have Buy Buy Baby, I registered online at Babies R Us (for a lot of the same/similar stuff) while Carl was on watch that night.
I'm thankful for friends and family who have small ones that are gracious enough to either let us borrow or have certain items/& clothes so we don't have to worry about much.  And as I told Carl, we will have all the essentials (or most of) by the time this little one comes, without all the "extras" that we registered for.  God has definately blessed us with the people who love us to encourage us, help provide for us, and pray for us.  Truly blessed!
