He did it! Nathan is crawling forward . . . albeit very slowly and just enough to where he can throw his arms out on his stomach and reach whatever it is he is after :). I love watching him try to figure out the best way, or the easiest way to get what he wants, and then after obtaining it sitting up and playing with it.
He has been drooling a lot the last week or so and his top gum is swollen, so I am anticipating a tooth coming in shortly. We are going to try asparagus and carrots for new foods this week, and maybe beans. They suggest peaches too, but they aren't in season and I'd rather wait for fresh peaches than use canned.
Nathan is growing so fast. Carl says over and over how much he changes from day to day, and it is so true. Lately he watches as you move your fingers (similar to a waving hello or good-bye) . . . today he moved them just like I did. He is getting better at holding things too. His cup & his spoon and he continues to improve on feeding himself cheerios. His 9 month onsies are getting close to being too small . . . so, I'm thankful that I bought some extenders! His legs seem to be of average length, but his torso is long!
We played with bubbles one day this past week . . . he was over tired and cranky and it was the best idea I had, so we tried it. He watched them "fly" around, but it was a short time outside :).
This little babe inside of me is doing well . . . as far as I know. I did feel him/her move a little on Sunday in church, but haven't felt anything more yet . . . I'm thinking its because I was able to be still on Sunday, but since haven't really had much of a chance to concentrate on any more movement. I didn't feel Nathan move until 24-26 weeks, so I was grateful to feel this one at 18 weeks. Hopefully I will be able to feel him/her move more often soon :)
