Pre Registration

  Today was my 35 week Dr. appointment.  And when I was signing in they handed me paperwork to fill out . . . which was unexpected for me . . . but a little exciting!  It was the pre-registration for me and the boy for when we go to meet him!  So, I filled out his paperwork for his birth certificate (as much as possible) and got all my paperwork completed for the hospital.  EEEEEKK, it's coming so fast, tomorrow will be 30 days  until my due date!  I can't wait to meet this little boy of ours. 

  OH, and the Dr. felt him and said he was head down!  AND, when she got his heartbeat it started at 180 (cause he was moving around so much) and as soon as he was at rest it was the normal 150.  This little boy makes me smile!

35 weeks

We have less than 5 weeks to go now.  I can't tell if time is speeding up or slowing down . . . I guess it depends on the day.  Monday was officially my last day of mowing.  I came to that conclusion after being so exhausted by the time I was almost done, I was in tears!   So, from now on house work only.  I feel like there are a ton of projects that still need to be done, but in reality there aren't.  I started washing baby clothes this week and getting things out of the packages.  We are going to move the table into the kitchen and the hutch into the "old dining area" to hopefully open the space in the living room to accommodate baby things.  That will be this weekend, as well as lots of pool time at the neighbors (108 degrees is a little too much for me)! 

  We have our final birthing class tonight and then another dr. appointment  on Thursday.  I'm looking forward to resting a little on Friday!!

My sister was kind enough to take pictures for us to document this special time in our lives.  Since we had a baby shower this past weekend at my dad's church, it was the perfect time to do so.  (The shower was amazing, by the way.  So many generous people and so much fun!)  Here are a few pictures . . .

8th Month

32 weeks and I'm in my 8th month of pregnancy. Time has flown by!  This week has been good filled with activities.  Yesterday we had our first of four  birthing classes.  It was definitely interesting.  The teacher is okay, not the easiest person to listen to, but I think we can make it a few more times :).  I had a doctor's appointment today and that went well, Carl surprised me and made arrangements to be there.  I'm still measuring right on track, and all the vitals look good.  the doctor said that his heartbeat was good and that he is an active one :) . . . which of course I knew already!  I think I'm going to have my hands full with this one.

  Many people have commented this week that it looks like I swallowed a watermelon, and I'm feeling like I have!  Sleep is getting less and less (or so it feels that way).  I find myself with decent amount of energy until I sit down for a minute and then it's pretty much nap time (even just for 5 min).

This week has been a good week, except for the day when this little boy was up in my ribs all day, making it hard to sit, stand, lay down.  He's been up there since, but hasn't stayed as long (thank goodness).  We've been busy this past week getting ready for Carl's sister to come visit this weekend!  And this will be a short post because I still have a lot of cleaning left to do.  Somehow I found it more important earlier this week to get closets and cupboards organized/cleaned out than to actually clean :).

check up

Went to the Dr.'s on Thursday, and everything is continuing to go well.  All my vitals were normal/good, and the baby's heartbeat was 150.  I am measuring right on track and the Dr. made a comment how this little boy favors my left side (he always has), but she thought it was interesting because she said normally (95%) favor the right side.  I thought that was a fun fact, especially since I had just been thinking about him being close to my heart :).  She also gave me some good advice for the next 10ish weeks and what to be looking for.  I now start seeing the Dr. every 2 weeks for a month, and then I will start going in every week!  I think that's when it really hit me that this little boy really will be here before we know it!  (Tomorrow begins week 31 . . .)

30 Weeks

Can't believe we only have 10 weeks to go!  My energy level comes and goes.  For instance, I was able to get a lot of things done yesterday, but today I have a horrible headache and feel blah.  I do listen to my body though, so if I don't feel I have the energy, I take a little time and rest.  This little boy is still very active, more throughout the day now, rather than just at night.  It's comforting, and I think I will miss it a bit when he finally makes his arrival.  Carl was able to finish up the baby's room this weekend.  There wasn't much left, just replacing the baseboards (that were a lovely shade of pink).  So, now they are white, and it makes the nursery look complete!  We did a little more decorating and rearranging, so it is starting to feel more real.  I still have some organizing to do in there, but not too much!  I'll post pictures of the nursery again soon. 

  I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday, but it should be just a quick check.  Can't believe how quickly time is flying by!
